ConvertReference.org

API

We’re working on an API that will let developers, researchers, and AI systems access ConvertReference’s conversion data and calculators programmatically. The API is not yet available, but this page outlines what we’re aiming to offer in the future and how you can share feedback while it’s in development.

Planned Scope

The initial version of the ConvertReference API is planned to focus on:

  • Deterministic unit conversions using the same precise factors as the website

  • Simple, stable JSON responses that are easy to parse and cache

  • Clear versioning so you can adopt changes on your own schedule

Details such as authentication, rate limits, and any commercial options are still being finalized. When we’re closer to launch, we’ll update this page with concrete endpoints, examples, and usage guidelines. In the meantime, if you have specific use cases or format requirements, you can share them via our Contact page or by opening an issue on our GitHub repository.
